Care is
human.
Technology
can help.

People and Robots explores how humanoid systems and carefully preserved life stories can support carers of people with memory loss.

Our approach
01 / Understand

Expert
advice

Evaluate emerging humanoid systems against the real needs, routines and constraints of carers and families.

02 / Preserve

Memory
insurance

Capture memories, preferences, stories and personal material before significant memory loss makes them harder to recover.

03 / Support

Useful
presence

Design personalised interactions that can answer repeated questions, offer familiar prompts and reduce pressure on human carers.

The history

From Pepper to a new generation.

When People and Robots was founded, humanoid robotics offered only a few notable platforms and demanded substantial custom software. The field now includes a growing set of more capable systems, alongside rapid advances in artificial intelligence.

The organisation’s focus remains deliberately specific: technology should not replace carers. It should help families preserve a person’s history, respond more consistently to everyday needs, and give carers space to rest and remain well.

That human element is the point. Technical excellence matters, but useful care begins with understanding how people actually live.
